International Nurses day was grandly celebrated at Unity Hospital, Mangalore to recognize the dedicated service of Nurses associated with the Hospital since its inception in 1978. The programme commenced at 3.00pm by the prayer song to invoke Almighty's Blessings.
Mrs Rosyleena Rego Ex-Nursing Superintendent of Unity Hospital was the chief guest of the fuction. Other Dignitaries of the dias were Chairman Dr C.P Habeeb Rahman , Director Mr.Ashfaq M Habeeb and Mrs Ameena Rahman and GM Operations Mr Devaraj. Other Directors Mrs. Fathima Sameena, Mrs Samiya Nasly and their families were present on occasion. Presence of Alumni from Unity Academy of education added extra zest to the celebration.
Nursing Staff Mrs Jayashree with experience of 43 years, Mrs Hepsiba B Jayamma with experience of 25 years, Mrs Juliana V Dsouza with experience of 21 years, Mrs. Sumitra P Hegde with experience of 14 years, Mrs. Deepthi Angeline Dsouza with experience of 12 years and Mrs Leena Dsoza with experience of 11 years were felicitated for their dedicated service to the organisation.
Our Chairman's Message of 'Nursing' being the backbone of the hospital indeed was a "boost" to the morale of our Nurses. Fun games and the cultural programme was put up by the staff nurses and unity students which enhanced the joy of the Nurses' Day celebrations. Prizes were distributed to all the winners of the various events.
